WHY SOCIAL MEDIA & MOBILE TECHNOLOGY?

Internet penetration in Africa is 42% of the total population of 545.5 M across leading Markets which is about 229.11M. However, Ghana share of internet penetration is 20% of 26.3M of the total population which corresponds to 5.26M. This figure represents a total number of people who deploy the internet to access Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Whatsapp etc.

However, there is a strong correlation between smart phone and internet users due to users’ ability to engage in Social Networking and transact business with each other coupled with 58% of literacy rates who can read and write.

Which means about 58% of the total population can be reached as respondents via SMS and email.
